Welcome to the Capital Golden Skiers Club web site. Capital Golden Skiers is a non-profit social and recreational sports club uniquely geared to people who are 50 years and older. Our purpose is to bring together those from the Washington, DC area, who wish to participate in skiing and other group activities, and enjoy the camaraderie derived from their participation. We are one of about two dozen ski clubs belonging to the Blue Ridge Ski Council, www.skicouncil.com. This provides our members a wide range of opportunities to participate in all affiliated club ski trips and a variety of other year round activities.

ABOUT US
We have over 100 members who primarily reside in the greater Washington, DC area. Each year we plan, organize, arrange, or participate in western United States and European ski trips and get together for local trips. The non-ski season time is a mix of hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, golfing, attending cultural events, such as concerts and theater, dining, socializing, and playing bridge.
Highlights of our social activities include having potluck meals and parties in members’ homes and restaurant outings.

The benefits of belonging to a group of people with a diversity of interests include:
