Alpine (downhill) Skiing

When weather permits, impromptu weekday ski trips may be organized to Whitetail, 90-minute drive, or Ski Liberty, 60 minute drive. Typically we arrive at the ski resorts around 11am and ski to 3pm to avoid traffic.

Additional options, subject to weather conditions, are weekday overnight ski trips to WISP, MD, or SEVEN SPRINGS, PA, which are about a 3 1/2 hour drive.

Cross-Country Skiing

If we have six inches of new snow in the DC metro area, cross-country skiing may be feasible. In addition, cross-country skiing is often feasible in western Maryland or West Virginia. If you are interested in cross-country skiing, please contact Don Vierimaa, 703-256-0728.
